Crew Movie Review - The Celeb Guru

Story

Geeta Sethi, Jasmine Kohli, and Divya Rana are flight attendants for Kohinoor Airlines, a company teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. The staff have not received their salaries in months, and like their colleagues, the three friends remain hopeful for a change. Geeta’s husband Arun struggles with a home-based food business, and she also financially supports her unemployed brother and his wife. Jasmine, raised by her maternal grandfather after her parents’ divorce, is cynical about relationships, indulges in expensive items, and portrays a flashy, fabricated lifestyle on social media. Divya, despite being trained as a pilot, is forced to work as a flight attendant due to a lack of opportunities and hides this fact from her family while struggling to repay her education loan.

The sudden death of senior flight attendant Rajvanshi during a flight prompts Geeta, Jasmine, and Divya to join a covert gold smuggling operation to Al Burj, a fictitious country. Mr. Mittal, the HR Head of Kohinoor Airlines, masterminds the scheme. As they become involved in smuggling, their financial conditions improve: Geeta funds Arun’s food business and supports her brother, Jasmine retrieves her grandfather’s pawned gold ring and indulges in luxuries, and Divya pays off her education loan. Meanwhile, other employees continue to struggle financially. When customs officials are tipped off about the smuggling, the trio narrowly avoids capture but are left feeling humiliated and reconsider their actions.

The situation worsens when Kohinoor Airlines declares bankruptcy, leaving all employees unpaid and penniless. The airline’s owner, Vijay Walia, flees to Al Burj. Geeta, Jasmine, and Divya discover that the gold smuggling operation had been funding Walia’s comfortable life abroad. Regretful and determined to make amends, they decide to smuggle the gold back to India to pay the employees their overdue salaries.
