Story

Dr. Rabail (Ayeza Khan) is a compassionate young woman who lost her parents at a tender age of five. Raised by her maternal uncle Asad Niazi and his wife Nafeesa, Rabail grew up caring for her cousin Umair (Muneeb Butt) as an elder sister. However, she is unaware of Umair’s romantic feelings towards her until he confesses them, shocking Rabail who has always seen him as a younger sibling. Nafeesa overhears their conversation and decides that Rabail should be married off promptly.

Meanwhile, the parallel storyline revolves around Zain (Imran Abbas), the son of a wealthy businessman, who is superficially fixated on appearances. Upon encountering Nishaal (Areeba Habib), he mistakenly believes her name is Rabail due to a misunderstanding. Despite initial resistance, Nishaal gradually develops feelings for Zain. Zain later discovers Nishaal is the daughter of his father’s friend and proposes marriage.

Nishaal discovers Zain’s proposal for Rabail and both are heartbroken, having fallen for each other despite minimal interaction. However, Nishaal convinces Zain to prioritize his relationship with his father, leading him to marry Rabail while Umair is away.

As the story unfolds, Zain and Nishaal play manipulative games to make each other jealous. Zain pretends to have feelings for Rabail, while Nishaal flirts with Zain’s friend Zia. After marrying Rabail, Zain deserts her on their wedding night, unable to consummate the marriage. Despite their strained relationship, Zain’s father makes him promise never to divorce Rabail before passing away.

While Zain and Nishaal attempt to reconcile, Zia seeks revenge by getting engage to Zain’s sister Sobia and disappearing on their wedding day. Despite the turmoil, Rabail discovers she is pregnant and receives support from Zain’s mother, Gulshan.

After the birth of their daughter Ujala, Zain realizes his true feelings for Rabail and regrets his shallow actions. However, Rabail, now hardened by the past, finds it difficult to forgive him. Meanwhile, Nishaal returns, still resentful towards Zain, who begins to realize his mistake.

Nishaal’s attempt to reconcile with Zain ends tragically when she suffers a miscarriage after a suicide attempt. Initially blaming Rabail, Nishaal later acknowledges her friend’s efforts to save her life.

Eventually, Zain and Umair reach a tentative truce, with Umair promising to seek forgiveness from Rabail on Zain’s behalf. Despite Zain’s plea, Rabail chooses to move on and accepts Umair’s love, while Zain is left to reflect on his regrets and solitude.
